DEWALT Secures Official Partnership With RFL

The RFL and Super League have unveiled  DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power  tools, as an official partner for the 2010 season.
DEWALT will benefit from  visibility at RFL central games and will be promoted during the season through branding and ticketing as well as through interaction with fans at events.  

The brand has recently backed the exciting ‘Strongest Arm in Super League’ competition. “We are delighted to welcome DEWALT on board as an official sponsor,” said the RFL’s Commercial Director Paul Kimberley. “The RFL is looking forward to working with a successful multi-national company which shares many of the same brand values as our sport.”

Richard Mallinson,  DEWALT’s Group Marketing Manager for UK and Ireland, said: “We believe that as the global popularity of rugby continues to evolve, this exciting new partnership with  the  RFL will help  to  strengthen  and build the profile of our brand .”   

Co-operative Completes Ambassador Line-up

The Co-operative, sponsors of The Co-operative Championships and Conference, and Official Partner of the RFL, has signed Jamie Rooney alongside Paul Sculthorpe to form their 2010 ambassador line-up.
Now a full-time player in the Co-operative Championships Jamie, the former Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Super League player and Featherstone Rovers playmaker, is making his trademark high scoring impact on the leagues, helping 2009 Champions Barrow Raiders defend their title.
Rooney (30), who still holds the record for the most points scored in a single season for Featherstone Rovers, joins Paul Sculthorpe, one of the most recognisable names in the sport and the only player to be named Man of Steel in consecutive seasons, in the new look line-up for 2010.
Liz Matkin, The Co-operative Group’s Head of Sponsorship, said: “We are delighted to have signed Jamie alongside Scully for this year. Jamie is a respected player in the Co-operative Championships with Barrow Raiders. We are very pleased Paul has agreed to sign for a second year as our ambassador for 2010. Compression Clothing Deal for RFL

The RFL has secured specialist sports apparel company 2XU as the official suppliers of compression clothing to the England team.   Mike Trees, the Managing Director of 2XU UK, said: “Our association with the RFL and England is the dawn of a new era for 2XU. The opportunity to work with the country’s best Rugby League players, and to develop our products even further to help them to achieve their full potential is a proud moment for 2XU.”
